June 2013 Hip Kit… 2 amazing projects by Cindy Stevens…

Happy Monday!

Today I am sharing a fabulous layout & card by our talented design team member, Cindy Stevens created with our June 2013 Hip Kit & Add-On Kits.  I love her bright cheery projects.  She creates the most amazing 8.5×11 layouts.  I struggle when I try to work with that size– but she makes it seem effortless to create wonderfully detailed pages that are not overcrowded.  Enjoy!!!

Cindy cut apart the yellow & white striped Maggie Holmes Fabric Frames and used a couple of little strips to accent her layout.  The addition of a fabric element gives nice texture to her project.  The My Mind’s Eye Enamel Dots from our June Embellishment Add-On Kit are perfect finishing touches and give some dimension and a little bit of shine without the sparkle of a gem.

The Lily Bee fabric brad (from our Embellishment Add-On Kit) and the transparency arrow create a nice embellishment cluster with her title.  The combination of the Glittered Thickers from our Embellishment Add-On Kit & the Lily Bee Alphabet Stickers from our main Hip Kit work perfectly together to create an eye catching title.

The Pier Washi Paper has so many different patterns on it – it is like having several rolls of washi tape on that one sheet.  You can cut it apart and use a strip of the pattern that coordinates best with your project.  So many possibilities with that one sheet.  😀

I love the colors that Cindy used on this card.  The wood grain background paper softens the strong contrast of the black, red and yellow.  The combination makes a well balanced card.  Again, the Enamel dots along with some splatters of Sunshine Mister Huey Mist from our June Color Add-On Kit are nice finishing touches.

I hope Cindy’s projects have inspired you to get to work creating some projects with your June Hip Kit.  Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Tomorrow I will have another amazing collection of projects to share with you – so make sure to come back and check them out.  Have a scrappy day!  xo – Kimberly –
