June 2013 Hip Kit… A collection of projects by Bethany Crowell…

Happy Saturday!

Today I am sharing a collection of projects by Bethany Crowell using our June 2013 Hip Kit & Add-On Kits.  Bethany makes the most amazing cards.  I have a difficult time with cards and I find that my cards all tend to look very similar.  I love that each one of Bethany’s cards are unique.  If you aren’t a cardmaker, her cards are certainly a great blueprint for creating cards.  You can also look at her cards and use them as inspiration for creating embellishment clusters for your scrapbook pages.

I know that I have talked a lot about “Instagram” photos recently.  The layout that I am sharing today also incorporates “Instagram” photos.  Having smaller photos allows you to include more photos on your layout without having it look overcrowded and chaotic.  If you haven’t tried using your “Instagram” photos on your projects – perhaps Bethany’s page will inspire you to give it a try.  Enjoy!!!

Happy 40 Card

I love all of the different elements that Bethany included on this card.  She hand-cut the “40” from the Crate Paper DIY Project paper.  She combined that with several different embellishments from our June main kit.  The mist splatters are a nice touch and add a bit of whimsy to her card.  Happy 40 Card DETAIL
Hello CardHow cute is this card?@!  She used one of the cut-apart sheets from the Your Smile paper as the white base for her card.  Then she combined a few bits & pieces from the Mint Julep Die Cuts & Transparencies along with the Sweet Shoppe Chipboard “hello” circle and heart.  Adding a few Enamel Dots from our June Embellishment Add-On Kit gives her card a little extra dimension and texture.  So cute!

Happy LOOne of the great things about “Instagram” photos is that they have borders on them and it saves you a step – because you don’t have to mat them to make them stand out.  The addition of the pennant banner strung across her layout works to guide your eye throughout her page.  The little splashes of red are perfect accents for her photos.  😀

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you are feeling inspired to do something crafty today after seeing Bethany’s projects.  I know I am!!! :D  Make sure to visit us again tomorrow to see our next collection of amazing projects created with our June Hip Kit.  Have a scrappy day!  xo – Kimberly –
