I hope you are all having a great day. It is raining here in Seattle. Big surprise! haha… Perfect weather for scrapping. Today I am sharing a couple of layouts created by Melanie Blackburn using our wonderful February 2013 Hip Kit. I absolutely adore all of the layering and details that Melanie puts into her projects. How precious is her sweet baby?!? I love how Mel used a black and white photo with the bright yellow heart paper. The contrast between the two allows the photo to really stand out. The navy blue layer behind her photo creates a strong foundation. Repeating the navy heart at the top of the page – gives the layout nice balance and adding navy paint splatters in the bottom right hand corner completes that visual triangle.  The chipboard arrows, Thickers, wood veneer pieces from our main kit and the puffy stickers from our February Project Life Add=On Kit give the layout lots of texture and dimension. To personalize her page she added a few heart and speech bubble die cuts that she created with her Silhouette.
I love the collage of Instagram photos on Mel’s next layout. The great thing about Instgrams is that they capture little moments of every day life. Mel added lots of little details about her pictures on the little Elle’s Studio Cutout tags. The Pebbles Mini Alphabet are perfect for adding dates and little captions. So cute!!!  |
