I am so excited to welcome Melanie Blackburn to our Hip Kit Club Design Team!  Mel has such amazing style – her projects are always full of layering, texture and lots of little details.  Her work makes me want to drop everything and get scrapping.  :D  Mel will be working with our January 2013 Hip Kit – which is on its way to her.  We will begin sharing her projects towards the middle of February, but in the meantime you can visit her blog to see some of her amazing projects.

Hello everyone! I’m Melanie Blackburn and I’m so very excited to be designing for Hip Kit Club! A little bit about me, I’m currently a SAHM mom to 3 beautiful girls. I started crafting when my oldest was born, 8 years ago and I’m so very grateful for discovering this hobby. Along the way I’ve met some amazing people, who I now call friends, I’ve also had various opportunities which have helped me become the scrapbooker / card maker that I am today. I love to play with paper, it satisfies two needs; one of which is to preserve memories for my family, the other is to do something crafty and play with pretty papers and embellishments, a crafty girl couldn’t ask for better! I often describe my style as "eclectic flair", I love to mix patterns, embellishments, and include fun accents on my layouts. I’m so honored to have been asked to design for Kimberly! The Hip Kits are fabulous, full of the latest and greatest products!! Thank you Kimberly!!!
