August 2012 Hip Kit… 4 fabulous projects by Bethany Crowell…

Hi Friends!

Bethany here with you today!  I have several fun projects to share with you that I created using our super cute August Hip Kit.  This kit is full of so many amazing embellishments and the patterned papers mix and match perfectly.  It has been sooo much fun to play with all of these wonderful goodies!

At the Chateau LO I used our concert ticket stub on my layout because I think it really helps tell the story for my photos.  I challenge you to try using bits and pieces of memorabilia on your projects.  We would love to see your work…  post a photo of your project on our Facebook page…  We can’t wait to see what you create!!!

LAUGH LO All the different patterned papers on this layout make it pretty loud & busy…but I think it turned out really fun! That’s the beauty of our August Hip Kit, all the great patterns & colors mix and match so well!  LAUGH LO DETAILShow us how you mixed and matched the papers in your August Hip Kit by posting your projects on our Facebook page.

Smile Card (2)You all know how much I enjoy creating cards.  :D  This kit has so many goodies that are perfect for cardmaking.  This card showcases chipboard flowers & ribbon from our August Embellishment Add-On Kit along buttons and Masking Tape Stickers from our main kit.  I love the way this one turned out.  😀

YOU Something Splendid CardThis card was really simple.  I used a portion of one of the polaroids from the Dear Lizzy Dreamy Days paper and stitched it to the top of my card.  This piece had a little sentiment which I added to by using some of the Echo Park mini alphabet stickers from our main kit.  I sanded the edges of the yellow polka dot paper to make it standout a little more.  I added the ribbon as a finishing touch.  :D  It doesn’t take much to make fabulous cards with your Hip Kits.

I hope you are inspired to try mixing & matching different pattern from our August Hip Kit or to create a layout including memorabilia to help tell the story for your page.  Make sure to show us what you make by posting your project on our Facebook page.

Happy crafting!  xo Bethany
