June 2012 Hip Kit… June Sketch

Hi Everyone!

It is Kristin here again.  I have to tell you that…  once again Kimberly has put together another FABULOUS kit!  Our June Hip Kit features a collection of both subtle and bold colors.  Regardless of how you mix and match the products in it… they will all coordinate together perfectly.  I was thrilled with all of the boy stuff in this kit!  The Jillibean Macho Nacho and Studio Calico Numerical patterned papers coordinated so well with the teal shirt in these photos from my son’s last day of school.  The Echo Park This & That sticker sheet had a few school themed stickers which were a perfect fit for my layout.

Every month each of our design team members create 1 layout based on a sketch.  This month’s sketch by Jillibean-Soup was really fun to work with.  It can be interpreted so many different ways, but I kept my design pretty close to the sketch, just varying the embellishments a bit.

I added several layers of the light blue cardstock and the Jillibean-Soup Macho Nacho blue polka dot patterned paper behind the Echo Park Die Cut Stickers to make them stand out a little more.

I also added some machine stitching and some splats of Mr. Huey mist from an earlier Hip Kit.
