Hi there! My name is Maija and I am from Finland. I am married to Mikko, a photography enthusiast and we have been together for almost 15 years. We have to children, our daughter, Pihla, is 9 and our son, Peetu, is 5,5. We live in a house built in the 1950s that keeps us busy and we dream of adding a little fur baby to the family.
I work as a midwife in a big university hospital, at the delivery word. With a quite tough job and especially tough schedules of working various shifts, I am in constant need of stress relief. And for that crafting is my solution! I love getting little moments here and there to focus on just the pretty products and getting something pretty done.
I have been making all things paper my whole life and for a long time card making was my passion. But as it happens to many after having kids, I switched to scrapbooking after our daughter was born. My husband loves taking photos and we have a solid 25k storage of photos to date, so I will never run out of photos to scrapbook. 12×12 is my favorite size and style and my personal scrapbooking style is simple and graphic. Lately I have really fallen in love with mini albums, I love that I can put many photos into one project.
Besides crafting my passion is traveling. I love planning trips and dreaming of new places to visit. I love showing my kids other cultures and countries and really enjoy the break from everyday life. And it is an added bonus that vacations are perfect resources for scrapbook layouts and mini albums!
