Hello, friends! Jana Eubank here with you today to share one more scrapbook page with the April 2023 Hip Kits before moving on to the beautiful May Kits. (Have I told you lately how FUN it is to open my Hip Kit Club box each month? If you don’t subscribe yet, what are you waiting for!)
This past week we have been scraplifting our fellow design team members. I chose to scraplift a concept, rather than an entire layout. Sophie Delorme recently layered up the cut-apart tags from the April 2023 kits like roof shingles and I couldn’t wait to give it a try! WATER FUN
I’m not sure if it’s just me, but the colors of the April 2023 Hip Kits felt like summertime to me, so that is what I have been scrapbooking. Today is another water-themed layout featuring my daughter at Girls Camp several years ago.
I placed my photos side-by-side layering several papers behind them to create one large photo mat. I then used several fabric flower die-cuts from the Main Kit to create two floral clusters on the page; one in the top-left corner and the other in the bottom-right corner of the first photo.
Following Sophie Delorme’s lead on THIS PAGE, I cut apart the tags and layered them together like shingles across the top of my photos. I used white twine in a variety of thicknesses to tie bows, loops, and knots at the top of each tag. I LOVE the texture this created on the page!
I used the leaf die from the February Hoop + Floral die set to cut additional leaves for my floral clusters using Cornflower cardstock (Cardstock Kit). Remember, leaves don’t always have to be green. Choose a color that will enhance the color scheme of your layout instead!
I love the boldness of the Navy Chipboard Letters from the Main Kit. They make the perfect titles!
