Hi everyone, Anke here with a new layout inspiration for Hip Kit Club. I’m excited to share my first project created with the gorgeous January Hip Kits. As you know, Monday is our mixed media day, so I also used the Shimmerz paints and spray which are included in the January Color Kit.

 

 

I started with painting white cardstock using the Shimmez paints and spray which are included in the January Color Kit. I applied the paint with a paint brush and let it dry. Once the paint was dry I applied a layer of modeling paste using a stencil from a previous Color Kit.

 

 

I got the assignment to use punches and so I used my punches to cut out circles in different sizes from the painted papers. Then I fussy cut leaves and branches from the Hip Kit Club Exclusive – “The Stories We Tell – Heartfelt Memory” paper. I arranged the paper circles and my photos, which I also punched out, on my page, combined with the fussy cut leaves.

 

 

Then I used the “Linen Texture” metal die and cut out 5 pieces from white cardstock and layered them with my photos and the paper circles to add texture to my layout.

 

 

Before I adhered all these elements I cut my cardstock to a smaller size, used a corner punch to embellish the corners, glued it on another piece of white cardstock and added some machine stitching. Then I glued the circles and my photos on my layout.

 

 

I picked out some die cuts from the “The Stories We Tell” ephemera pack , which is included in the January Main Kit and embellished my paper circles. I also added some of the “Floral Ephemera”, which you can find in the January Embellishment Kit.

 

 

Then I added some flowers which I fussy cut from the “The Stories We Tell – Childhood Memories” – and the “Secrets Revealed” paper.

 

 

I continued embellishing the page with some of the “Chipboard Words & Phrases Stickers”, which are included in the January Main Kit.

 

 

I chose a bow from the “Build a Pocket” stickers pack, which you can also find in the January Main Kit to embellish one of my photos.

 

 

Finally I added more fussy cut leaves and some of the “Puffy Dots”, which are included in the January Embellishment Kit.
