Hi there Hip Kit friends! This is my first blog post for Hip Kit, and so I am very excited to share this layout made for Mixed Media Monday! I have been loving the gorgeous Gina K inks included in April’s color kit, they are so vivid and vibrant on white cardstock and so easily blendable with water – such a great product!

I thought the gorgeous Chasing Dreams mandala stencil that came in the color kit was so pretty, and for this layout, I tried a new technique for applying precise color through different areas of a stencil, using miniature blending brushes. This allowed me to apply a specific ink color into very small areas of the stencil. I love the effect its achieved- so delicate and pretty-perfect for showcasing the details in this stencil. This precise application of ink is perfect if you enjoy more controlled use of your mixed media. If you have any questions please let me know! Rebecca XOXO
