AUTUMN LEAVES IN LONDON LAYOUT | DANIELLE MENAGE-JENSEN

Hey lovely people!

It’s Danielle here today with my latest layout using the fabulous October 2019 kit. I was challenged to incorporate punches and stitching and to use only the main kit and the cardstock kit for this layout.

I had a rummage through the beautiful papers in this months kit and settled on a real stunner from Pinkfresh Studio. The paper was from their Just a Little Lovely collection and called Chit Chat.

I knew straight away that I wanted to cut out all the little banners from the paper and then stitch them to my layout with my photos in the centre of the page.

I dug out my leaf punch and used some vellum and coordinated papers that worked with the banner colours. I punched out the papers to layer behind my photos.

Once I’d attached my banners, I got out some black ink and splashed a few big and small drops on the paper – one ended up being waaay bigger than I intended, but that’s how the drops roll sometimes – in the end, I quite like that it’s a beast! Haha

I decided to use two photos for this layout that I took in October last year when I was super early for work and had 30 minutes to kill (most unlike me). I popped into a coffee shop and then took a stroll near the Thames.

London is so hectic, but first thing in the morning, the river is sometimes a quiet place to visit so I wandered around and took a few photos of the sun hitting the Autumn leaves… the trees looked luminous and other worldly.

Back to my layout and my final touches were to add some little punched stars (vellum stapled to papers), my title LDN (the abbreviation for London) and also some fabulous words from the Pretty Little Studios Magical Days paper from the Indian Summer collection. The words worked perfectly with the photos – it was meant to be 😉

Until next time – enjoy your day and scrap away x
