Hey everyone! You probably know by now that I love mixed media, and today I want to show you a really simple way of adding MM to your projects that is super easy and pretty. I used the lovely January kits of course! I created this layout about one of my daughter’s great loves- sweet stuff! Here’s my project-

We received some super cool Distress Oxides in Picked Raspberry and Spiced Marmalade in the January 2018 Color Kit. I decided to paint an extra paper with lovely puddles of paint! The Distress Oxides blend and oxidize beautifully when you sprinkle water on them! After the sheet dried I punched as many hearts from the paper as I could, I then layered them down the page over top of random stamping with the sweet Vicki Boutin – All the Good Things Roller Stamp. To embellish I used SO many flowers from the Exclusive Hip Kit Die Cut pak! I layered quite a few of the project life cards beneath my photo and also used a PL card for my title!

The Distress Oxides from the January 2018 Color Kit are the coolest Inks to play with! I decided to create my Layout on a black cardstock (from the Cardstock Kit) – so i needed a base for my mixed media… white gesso for the win! I really love the contrast here
i mixed some Shimmerz Paints from previous color kits with the Distress Oxides – also added a touch of gold. The exclusive flowers (DieCuts and pattern Paper) are one of my favorite things in the Kits. I grabbed the Paper and fussy cutted some of them out.
