Thursday inspiration with Cara Vincens, Anna Komenda and Terhi Koskinen

We’ve got a treat for you!

Starting with this new term, Thursdays are going to be a whole lot of fun! It’s Cara, Anna and Terhi here today and we are the first to tackle the new 3-way challenge! Each Thursday, 3 design team members will be given a product, kit or idea to create with. We’ll post them here to inspire you with 3 different ways to use the same thing. Hopefully, you can come up with even more ideas.

This first POST is to use only the Main February kit. Cara and Anna will show you two ways how to create with the main kit, and Terhi is showing her colorful technique with thickers!

Cara’s up first:

I was soooo tempted by all the fantastic goodies in the other kits (especially those fringed butterflies) but there are so many gorgeous things to play with in the Main kit that it was easy to resist, besides I’ll get to play with those later 😉

I love a fresh start, a blank slate and there’s nothing like a new month to get me motivated. I’ve decorated my March monthly spread in my Commit30 planner using 3 Maggie Holmes Chasing Dreams patterned papers (Delicate,Collected and Monarch), and The Crate Paper Oasis Getaway paper (Oh that floral!!).

I started with that beautiful Monarch paper and I chose 3 butterflies that would best match the Getaway floral paper and fussy cut them.

I also fussy cut the ‘Dreams are for chasing’ sentiment from the Collected paper and cut strips from Delicate for my borders.

I topped the spread off with a cute gold puffy heart that I made into a planner clip. I hot glued a chipboard heart sticker to the back of it to hide the clip and adheasive.

Happy Planning!

Anna is next with her take on the February Main kit:

Hello. First of all let me tell You how happy I am to be back to this fabulous team. It’s my first inspiration in this term and I hope You will like it. As Cara said before – we were creating with February Main Kit only. It was such an easy job, because this kit is filled with many fantastic products. I love all stuff Maggie Holmes and “Chasing dreams” collection is no exception. Ephemera pack is filled with yummy tags, beautiful flowers and other pieces. I decided to go in the “flower” direction.

And what is a perfect match for the flowers? Butterflies!!! I fussy cut them from one of the papers and added them to my composition. Some chipboard stickers and wooden buttons from “Little by little” and my layout was finished.

I also have a process video for You. I hope You will enjoy watching it. So sorry for my English on the video. I had some issues with English vocabulary. Blame my age. This brain isn’t working that well anymore 😉

XO Anna

Terhi finishes it up with her fantastic project:

Do you remember the DIY Mistable Thickers from January 2017 Embellishment Kit? I was highly inspired by the colors on my photograph and wanted to add same colorful feeling to the layout as well. By using only regular watercolor I created this beautiful rainbow effect to my scrapbook page, and the same idea can be used to any embellishments. Rest of the products used on this layout is from January Main Kit, please give special attention to the exclusive papers. I just can’t have enough of them!

Go ahead and grab your watercolors and start all the fun!

WE hope you are loving our new Thursdays as much as we!
