Hello everyone! It’s my first blog post as part of the Hip Kit Club DT and I couldn’t be more excited! 😀 I had so much fun working with all the FABULOUS October kits! October 2015 Project Life Kit, October 2015 Main Scrapbooking Kit, October 2015 Embellishment Kit, October 2015 Cardstock Kit, October 2015 Paper Kit. What gorgeous colors and goodies! Let me show you one of the Project Life spreads I made.
I had so much fun mixing all the kits!! This is the left page.
All the bits and pieces from the Cedar Lane ephemera pack int he October 2015 PL Kit made me so happy! Lots of gold glitter and gold foil and nice colors.
Also lots of small labels which are the perfect size for small pockets. I like to add stitching. I think that it gives lots of texture to my layouts.
See, more stitching here, on the beautiful feather. It just transforms a beautiful card in something very unique.
More small labels with words ont hem. Sometimes it’s all I need to tell my story.
This is a print screen from my phone. I love to add them to my album from time to time (we moved to Charlotte NC a year ago and we are from the North so it’s fun to keep track of the differences in temperature down here) but the size of the print screen is a little bit odd. So here I simply put it on a 3×4 card and I added a gold foil “washi tape-like” sticker at the top.
Here’s the right page.
I added a small frame behind my photo and I typed inside the frame with my typewriter. I love to use my handwriting because it’s more authentic and it’s quicker, but sometimes, when writing directly on patterned paper, a typewriter font will be easier to read.
These large glitter alphas are just great to make a big statement!
Look at this beautiful ampersand in gold foil!!
Another one of my trick to add little details is to type on a white piece of cardstock and to cut it out to get a custom label. 🙂 Here I added my label with foam adhesive to add dimension and interest. When using #, I like to use capital letters at the beginning of each word so that it’s easier to read.
These cards with lots of blank space are awesome to add more details and to tell more of the story.
Again, ephemera with gold glitter. Beautiful!! A simple staple is all it needed. 🙂
I hope you had fun looking at my “work” and I hope I could inspire you a little!!
Talk to you again soon!!
Marie
Really love this spread!! I’m looking forward to play with my kit!! 🙂
