Welcome to Friday morning here at the Hip Kit Club blog, Wendy here today with some more inspiration from the July kits. As you know, I am a 12×12 scrapper, but I have been watching so many people switch to 8.5×11 so I thought I’d shake things up a bit and give it a try! I knew I wanted to fussy cut the lights from the October Afternoon paper found in the July Main kits and then I added in a Project Life card from the Project Life add-on. I began to decorate then with some stars from the June Embellishment kit and then I decided that my design wasn’t big enough for the full 12×12 page and so I cut my page down to 8.5×11. My first thought was, wow, that is really a small space to work on, and then I panicked and began to try some papers to make it a 12×12 layout again, lol. So here is the 12×12 version, I’d love to know which you like better!
And a few close-ups of the details…
I also have my last Project Life spread to share using the July Project Life Add-on, this one is probably my favorite of all the weeks (I did add in a few cards from the June kit that I was saving).
Thanks for joining me this morning, I will see you next week with a really fun layout!
Love these! I’m also a 12*12 scrapper, and while I do love the whiteness and brightness of the 8.5*11 layout, I just love love the symmetry of the 12*12 size.
I’m a diehard 12×12 lover, so it’s the 12×12 for me (although they are both terrific).
