December 2012 Hip Kit… Two Sweet Cards by Bethany Crowell…

Hi Everyone!

This evening I have a couple of really cute cards to share with you!!!  Both cards were created by Bethany Crowell, using our AWESOME December 2012 Hip Kit.  :D  I love the bright colors and whimsical patterns in this month’s kit.  This kit will work perfectly with projects for any occasion.

Hello My Dear Card

How cute is that deer?!  I love how Bethany incorporated the wood veneer “hello” with the wording on the paper to create a perfect sentiment for this card.  She also used a grey chalk ink to distress the edges of her speech bubble.  Chalk ink is more opaque than other inks, and it does a great job of giving the little speech bubble a nice finished look.  Also, many of the barcode strips at the bottom of the patterned papers have decorative border on the opposite side.  Make sure not to throw these strips away – because these fun borders can add nice little details to your projects.

I Love U Card

Such a simple card…  but oh so cute!!!  Our December Kit included a package of the Amy Tangerine Ready Set Go Die Cuts, which has so many great little elements in it.  I love how Bethany used the “love” die cut card to create the sentiment for her card.  The black and white background – makes the wording in the die cut really “POP”.  The addition of the red enamel dot, is a good trick that will guide your eye from the top of the card down to the lower right hand corner.

I think you will agree when I say that Bethany is an amazing cardmaker  I hope her sweet cards have inspired you to pull out your December Kit and get creating.  If you aren’t a cardmaker…  no worries…  you can easily take these card designs and turn them into embellishment clusters for a scrapbook page.  I am so glad that you stopped by today!  I hope you will come back again tomorrow – because we will be sharing another amazing project created with our fabulous December Hip Kit.  Sweet dreams!  xo Kimberly
