Happy Thursday! I can’t believe that Christmas is only 12 days away! The days are flying by… but I am really enjoying this holiday season. One of the things that I really wanted to do this year was to make a December Daily Album to record our family memories. I have been working away… and I wanted to share some of my pages with you…
So, I kind of switched things up last week. :D Initially, I was using an American Crafts 8×8 Album… However, last week I picked up a Simple Stories Snap Album… and have decided to use this one instead. I got one with a red cloth spine, and all of the accents inside are red and white. The Snap albums come with several different styles of page protectors, a handful heavy weight red & white patterned papers, and a few chipboard divider pages. I added a few transparency sheets as well.
Most of the products that I used in my album have been from our festive November 2012 Hip Kit… The only things that weren’t in our November kit were the transparency sheets, washi tapes, confetti stars and the Elle’s Studio Numbers and a few pockets & envelopes. Other than that… everything else is from our November Hip Kit.
These photos were taken with an app on my phone… so the colors are a little off… they should be brighter. My pages are still works in progress… they still need photos and some of them need a few finishing touches. But, I thought that seeing them may inspire you to give this project a try. :D As soon as my pages are completed… I will post high quality photos of each page – to show you the finished project. I hope you like what I have done so far…
I used a transparency sheet as the background for my first page. I machine stitched a glassine bag to it, so that I can add a note later. I also added a couple strips of washi tape from my stash to this page.
This photo shows the 1st two pages of my album. The transparency gives a really nice effect.
Washi tape & star die cuts, and number die cut from my stash. You could easily print numbers out on your printer and use a circle punch to punch them out to create the same style number that I used on my page.
I will add a photo behind the glassine bag, as well as a couple of embellishments to the left page to finish it off. The right page is done, it just needs a photo.
This page is done… I am just going to add a few photos to it. I did add some green & white grid washi tape and some confetti stars from my stash.
I am going to put a 4×4 instagram photo in the empty pocket.
I am going to add a strip of “photo booth” style photos to the right side of this page.
I cut this frame with my Silhouette, and I misted it with some of the silver Mister Huey Mist from our November Embellishment Add-On Kit. I love that stuff!!! The page is done… it just needs a photo.
This page just needs a little bit of journaling and a photo. Although, I think I should explain the title… I tried a recipe for broccoli cheddar soup… and it was absolutely awful… the girls tried to be sweet… but we all agreed that it tasted worse than baby food. Won’t make that again and I won’t be including the recipe in my book!!! haha…
These are some Simple Stories pockets that were included in one of our previous Hip Kits. I splattered them with silver Mister Huey Mist… which makes them sparkle a bit, but you can’t see that in the photo. :( I will probably add two wallet size photos to the empty pockets on this page, along with a couple of tags for journaling.
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you found some inspiration to do something crafty today. Make sure to come back again tomorrow to see the more fabulous projects to created with our November Hip Kit. Happy scrapping!!! xo – Kimberly
