September 2012 Hip Kit… Fabulous projects by Bethany Crowell…

Hi all!  It is Bethany here with you…  to share some more projects created with our September 2012 Hip Kit & Embellishment Add- On Kit.

One of my favorite products in our September Embellishment Add-On Kit is the adorable stamp set from Amy Tangerine’s Ready Set Go collection. This set of acrylic stamps is so, so fun…it’s fabulous for cards and layouts too!Savor the Moments LOI used the cute house stamps from the set on this layout…Savor the Moments LO DETAIL 2

Savor the Moments LO DETAIL 1I also used another little bit of the Studio Calico wood veneer borders on this layout. A little piece of the scallop border. This time I altered the wood with Mister Huey’s ink that coordinates perfectly with the fresh green color in the patterned papers. In their natural color or altered with a bit of ink…I love these wood veneer pieces for the dimension they give to projects!

My next project is a layout to celebrate one of my favorite seasons of all…FALL!  I love how this sweet layout came together. We Rake LO copyThe paint splatters, the wood veneer border and the Jillibean Soup sticker from our main kit add great texture and dimension to my page. The little leaf stickers from the Harvest Lane sticker sheet in our Embellishment Add-On Kit give a bit of whimsy to my layout. We Rake LO DETAIL 1

We Rake LO DETAIL 2The velvet ribbon, the thread under the button & the border sticker & the washi tape work perfectly together.  I adore that photo of my sweet niece peeking out from the leaves! We Rake LO DETAIL 3

Our September Hip Kit is so very versatile…I love that I was able to use it for this non-fall layout.  The fun patterns and bright colors in the papers are perfect to help document a summer celebration!Rooftop Celebration LO copyThe Jillibean Soup Grandma’s Lima Bean Bite Size Bits paper with the fun journaling cards is great for adding a focal point quote to a layout or a card. I added a little bit of machine stitching to this one & then clipped it to the page with one of the adorable little polka dot clothespins from Pebbles.Rooftop Celebration LO DETAIL 1I covered a little bit of the Studio Calico wood veneer banner with bits and pieces of patterned paper for another fun embellishment on this page. (That’s a great thing about those fabulous wood veneer borders…you can easily cut them into smaller segments, so you don’t have to use the entire 12" piece all at once!)Rooftop Celebration LO DETAIL 2I always love October Afternoon’s Flower Sack die cuts…and these from their 9-5 collection are no exception!! This little cluster of embellishments makes such a happy little focal point on this layout.

Oh…. I’m not done yet…  I also have a few cards created with our September Hip Kit to share with you.  This first card is quite simple…and I love how it turned out! I love how the colors pop against the classic navy blue. The striped grosgrain ribbon from American Crafts is actually a charcoal color…but it blends perfectly & almost looks navy on this card! I added a few tiny rhinestones from my stash to the wreath sticker for a little bling and for a little more dimension, the sentiment sticker is attached with a couple mini foam squares.  Isn’t it cute?!Give Thanks Card

The September Embellishment Add-On Kit included the awesome Amy Tangerine Ready Set Go ‘Hey There’ stamp set. LOVE this acrylic stamp set. On this sweet little square card I used the fork, spoon & knife stamps…which would be adorable used on place cards at a party! You're A Cutie Pie Card

My next card features the little plaid squirrel from the Harvest Lane stickers in our Embellishment Add-On Kit.  How cute is he?! Thankful Squirrel Card

In addition to the cute squirrel that are so many fun sticker elements that are perfect for fun, fall greetings!  I used the adorable bird and “hello” sticker from that same sticker sheet for my next card.  It coordinated so well with the October Afternoon Coffee Break Paper & the Jillibean Soup Pumpkin Puree paper as well as the other little details on my card. Hello Card
