July 2012 Hip Kit… Layouts & Cards by Kristin Kingrey

Hi Everyone!!!

It is Kristin here with you today, and I want to share a couple of projects that I created using our summery July Hip Kit!  This kit is so versatile – it worked perfectly for my 4th of July layouts and several projects with a softer color palette.  I love Hip Kits for this exact reason.  Well, that and the fact that they are filled with so many wonderful products each month!

This layout is a companion piece to my All American Princess layout.  I used the same colors and layering.  I really like how the yellow polka dot patterned paper from My Minds Eye really make my photo pop off of the page.  The Studio Calico Wood Veneer Stars add such nice texture and dimension to my layout.4th of July

My next project was created from our July Hip Kit as well.  Notice how it has a completely different feel to it with the more subtle colors.  When I saw the Queen and Co. Rhinestones the first time, (included in our July Embellishment Add-On Kit) -  I thought that they would make a  great to make a sun.  Combining that idea with clouds, butterflies and the flower buttons – I made this cute little card. HELLO CARDThe balloons from the Studio Calico Ephemera Pack were just perfect for a simple Birthday card.  This  package of die cuts went such a long way.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARD

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope my projects have inspired you to pull out your July Hip Kit and get to work.  If you don’t have a July Kit – you definitely should consider ordering one before they are sold out.  You will be so glad that you did!

xo Kristin
