It is Kimberly here with you today. I have a couple of beautiful projects to share with you today that were created by our very talented Cindy Stevens using our wonderful May Hip Kit.
|Cindy made this precious “baby boy” layout using the Sweet Day Delightful paper by Echo Park. This paper has quite a bit of pink and orange in addition to the blue, yellow and brown. Cindy totally changed the feel of the paper by hand cutting the blue, yellow and brown shapes and arranging them on the white cardstock background. Notice how she popped a few of the hexagons up to give a little extra dimension to her page. It is just like putting together a puzzle – only you get to choose which pieces go where. 🙂
|Cindy makes a lot of 8.5” x 11” layouts. So many – that I might just try one myself this month. She also makes cards in various sizes, rather than your traditional 5.5” x 4.25”. Some stickers and other elements are just too large for a small card. Try making a card to fit into a standard size letter envelope 5.5” x 8.5”.
I love the oblong shape of this card because it has so many fun embellishments on it. The Amy Tangerine Thickers worked perfectly for the sentiment, and I love the addition of the large floral sticker from the Dear Lizzy Sticker sheet included in our main kit. Cindy matted the flower sticker on white cardstock and added a couple of pop dots behind it to make it more substantial.
|I hope Cindy’s projects have inspired you to pull out our May Hip Kit and try some of the techniques that she used on your own projects. Thanks for stopping by today. Make sure to come back tomorrow for a few more fabulous projects created with our May Hip Kit.
Happy scrapping! xo – Kimberly
